Few days before I went back my hb's kampung for the CNY celebration, I received an email from Natta Cosme saying that a parcel was on its way to my home (my parent's home, to be precise) containing the BeautyMate Purifying and Hydrating Nano Toner and Mask...I was like, oh....I couldn't recall when I signed up for the review campaign lol...Anyway I was glad because...well, I was planning to buy a new toner and now I don't need to lol (๑>◡<๑)
BeautyMate Purifying & Hydrating Nano Toner
I think I mentioned before that I never get enough of toner, and would stock up toner the fastest among all my skincare. Yeah, I did mention before, in this post on Bag of Love September. So I was very glad to see this toner in my package from Natta Cosme, because my toner is...currently running low...again... haha :D
Extracted by Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Pearl and Glycoproteins, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract which helps to hydrate your skin and facilitate the matebolism which prepares fast absorbing of lotion. Formulated with the natural mineral of Hydrolyzed Pearl can bright up the skin tone and balance the pH value, it makes your skin soften and smooth. Glycoproteins helps to increase the moisture balance in cuticle up to 15 hours or above.
This toner has an interesting packaging in my opinion. First of all, it's a glass bottle, which has always been my criteria for an elegant and posh packaging. The cap is tight enough to secure the bottle, that even though I hold the cap, the bottle doesn’t slip off. And it has a pump. Yes, a pump!!! Not the usual small hole where you hold the bottle upside down to pour out the content. This would be my first toner bottle with a pump, and I love the idea!! As I have always like pump bottle more than any other bottle or jar or tube, and what more it's a sturdy, glass bottle, the entire packaging for this toner pass with flying colors ^_^
Similar like other normal toner texture, this toner is in liquid form (because I used gel form toner before, so I have to mention this lol), and is colorless. I use this toner with cotton pads, and swipe gently on my face and neck in outward and upward motions. I like the feeling of the toner on my skin. It doesn't ‘harsh’ my skin like some toner from other brands. Soft and gentle to my skin, it also left a refreshed and ‘cool’ feeling that make me delighted every time after using the toner. It’s very hydrating and non-sticky, just the way I like for a toner hehe…
The toner is also pretty good in removing traces of dirt and grease that might still left as residue on the face even after cleansing. Because the toner has skin-repairing ingredients, it hydrates and replenishes my skin’s surface immediately after cleansing, thus preparing my face for the next step for skin care. It helps my skin to absorb next skin care products such as serum and moisturizer, much better.
BeautyMate Purifying & Hydrating Nano Mask
I didn't expect this mask (or some may call it "sheet mask") to come along in the package from Natta Cosme lol...Either I misread the description in their registration form (or FB announcement, can't remember), or Natta Cosme included it as extra....Either way, this mask was welcomed warmly lol...why, because I love masks!! Especially those paper masks from Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, because they allow me to pamper myself to a mini facial à la spa at home-sweet-home lol
BeautyMate Purifying and Hydrating Nano Mask is manufactured by the newly imported nano technology, combined with a close-fitting mask cutting, can effectively release essence nutrients into skin cells to bring you a unique skin care experience. Hyaluronic acid and collagen are excellent moisturizing agents that help to smooth out skin texture. Ginkgo biloba and morus nigra leaf extracts provide whitening effects. Pearl powder contains marine micro-elements and can help to cool off and calm the skin, reduce wrinkles and pump up the moisture level. It nourishes skin cells from deep within to greatly improve skin conditions.
There's nothing much on the packaging; I think it's pretty standard for a paper mask to be folded and stored in a rectangular sachet. But I would like to talk on the protective paper layer. Somehow I prefer masks that come with a protective layer than those that doesn't. The protective layer can minimise contamination on the mask so I guess it's best to apply the side with the protective layer, on my skin. Of course, by removing the protective layer first lol…And the protective layer for this mask is with small holes, allowing the mask to be ‘breathable’.
The instruction does not say when to exactly apply the mask in a skincare routine. Anyway I applied the mask after applying toner. As toner functions to regulate and prepare skin after cleansing, applying mask after toner will enhance the absorption of the skincare ingredients (the lotion) of the mask into the skin.
The paper mask fit well on my face. The cooling sensation was there and I can feel my skin was soothed and relaxed after using the mask. I was also impressed with the generous amount of essence. I applied those extra essence onto my neck area and my hand :P After removing the mask after about 15-20 minutes, I just massaged and pat the remaining essence into my skin. Actually I don't understand why the instruction says to wipe off the remaining essence? I think it's wasted huh? :p So the immediate effect is the skin feel moisturized and soothed, but I couldn't comment on long term effect as I only have one of this mask :p Great mask nevertheless :D The only downside is probably the slightly sticky formula but otherwise this is recommended for instant hydrating yo...
