The Inaugural Brown Bag Series by 1 Utama; thoughful feel-good workshops that matter

I was tremendously excited when 1 Utama announced on its Facebook page on this exciting "Brown Bag Series" workshop. And thus I quickly registered myself to attend the very first workshop, held on the 3rd November, and was limited to 40 participants only. So what is this "Brown Bag Series"?

The "Brown Bag Series" is a series of energizing, feel-good Health & Wellness workshops organized by 1 Utama every month with event partner Cold Storage. The workshops are introduced with the objective of providing the participants fun activities to learn from so that they can walk away with healthy tips to apply to daily lives.

Now....why was I so excited on this "Brown Bag Series" workshop?

✿ Ever since I was diagnosed with critical illness, I have been more conscious on health, especially on the food that I consume. Less salt, less meat, less processed food, more fruits, more vegetables. So this workshop would give me some great healthy tips for my daily diet.

Shizens Exclusive Private Workshop - All about Youthful Skin!!

Shizens caught my attention not too long ago, when I first heard of the brand during the launch of the "Stand Firm Stay Firm" campaign. The brand has been around for few years yet I only aware about it just recently, haha...pardon me for being ignorant, but well, I was only started to have interest in beauty products since last year so I guess it's not a biggie...:P

Anyway...Shizens is a home grown brand here in Malaysia, and is propelling its expansion nationwide and also regionally. Shizens offers a comprehensive range of skin care and cosmetic products produced by bountiful natural ingredients and formulated in countries such as Japan and Korea, each in its own elegant packaging I would say (think about glasses, woohoo~ but there's something about the Lip Tattoo leaking bottle but I'm not going to elaborate here~)

In conjunction with the Shizens' latest product "Time Resistance Essence" (which is featured everywhere!!! Posters in malls, magazines, social medias etc), Shizens organized an exclusive private workshop on 5 July 2014 at Shizens Pavilion, where participants get to enjoy one-to-one skin consultation by Shizens skin expert.

Spring is here!!! And if you haven't know, May is the fashion month for Sunway Pyramid ^_^ It was named as "Fashion Confectionery" -- what a cute and candy-licious name!!! Beauty-Know-It-All Workshops

And in conjunction of the fashion month, there would be a series of beauty workshops "Beauty Know-It-All" held FREE at Sunway Pyramid by participating beauty brands o(≧∇≦o) The brands are Shu Uemura, Yves Rocher, H2O+, Laura Mercier, Kiehl's and Laneige....awwwwwwwwwwesome...I know!!!!

Self-empowerment with Dove Empowerment Workshop - the best event I have attended so far

I never knew that Dove is always committed to inspiring all women and girls to reach their full potential. Yes, Dove, the body care and hair care brand that is familiar in pharmacies and departmental stores. Dove supports partnerships with after-school programs, self-esteem building events and educational resources. Dove also supports a partnership with Alliance for Women in Media. Around the world, Dove has organised a number of Self-Esteem Project inviting all women to create a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. There were also workshops designed for girls, the Dove Self-Esteem Workshop for girls, to empower girls and promote new ways of thinking about beauty, body image and self-esteem with positive self-esteem building discussions and activities. Do you know that, each time you buy Dove, you help Dove and their charitable partners to provide inspiring self-esteem programming for girls?

Back here in Malaysia, Dove has set up the Dove Empowerment Fund, where via this fund and collaborations with various women organizations, Dove helps under-privileged women towards a better and more meaningful life. Recently, Dove has also organised the Dove Empowerment Workshop, where 100 selected women were brought to a series of self-esteem and empowerment exercises. And I was selected as among the 100 lucky women :)

Actually, this workshop invitation came to me by chance. I was merely sharing my concern on my hair fall problem via this Dove FB App. I have never expected that I would be chosen, but now I was so glad that I was and has attended the workshop, because it's the best event ever that I have attended thus far!! This workshop has really taught me a lot of life lessons!!

The workshop was held on 9 November 2013, at Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa. As each participant was allowed to bring along a friend, I invited my dear Sis along...

Origins EnergiZing Workshop – a Discovery of GinZing™ Moisturizer

After my first encounter with Origins, I became very interested to learn more about Origins products...One day when browsing the Origins Malaysia FB page, I came across their photos on some workshops for customers to discover their new products in the market. Wow...I didn't know Origins organize workshops like this...I remember fondly that time that I wished I knew about the workshop and I promised to myself that I must attend the next workshop, if there is one...

And yeah, there is!!!! Since mid-April, Origins Malaysia has extensively pushing the new GinZing™ Energy-boosting moisturizer...almost every post in the FB page is on GinZing™ and they constantly reminding fans to pick up the GinZing™ moisturizer samples...and they also organise the GinZing™ workshops!!! Right after I saw the announcement on the workshops I called Origins Parkson 1Utama to book seats for my sister and myself   (^ω^)

The EnergiZing Workshop at Parkson 1Utama was held today, at 10.30am. We arrived just in time to not missing any part of the workshop :P

Free workshop -- really ar? No free lunch in this world, ok...

Free Image Branding Workshop

So I went to this "Power Up Your Brand" workshop two weeks ago. When I reached the boutique, it was only me and the other two other participants. Well, the boutique is nice, cozy and comfortable.

After waited more than 20 minutes and when more participants have came in, the workshop started.

The trainer, Evelyn Ch'ng, started the workshop interestingly, got us to be actively interact with each other. She also showed us how each person has different "colour energy" for garments and attires, and I also like the way how she linked buying a diamond to identifying self-image.

Along the way however, although I was still interested with the class, I was starting to feel annoyed at the same time. Instead of a meaningful workshop on its own, I felt that this so-call 'workshop' is more like a preview for its 'Style & Grace Workshop', or is it 'Image & Etiquette' workshop? Oh, whatever...
