When I was bored and had nothing to do...

... I snapped pictures!!

It was damn boring during my attachment with Market Risk Management, especially after I have completed the morning COB report...Being at 26th floor of Menara Maybank, I had a good 'helicopter view' of the metropolitan city, although I think the view from KLCC should be much better...

The famous 'dome' of the Masjid Negara was captured in this picture, along with the 'white building' (I still don't know what building is that, albeit passing by thousands of times)

Menara Maybank is near to two LRT stations, Plaza Rakyat station and Masjid Jamek station. Therefore the track for LRT can be seen clearly...I waited for a train to come and *snapped*

Mizuno Wave Run 2009

After 'rest' for two months, today I participated in another 11km marathon - the Mizuno Wave Run 2009 at UPM... and oh my...UPM is so HUGE!! the whole track is only inside UPM and I passed by almost all of its residential college, some faculties and a very large pond...

Completed the 11km track in 95 minutes, slightly better than last time :D

Ashley Tisdale's Kiss The Girl....

Couldn't sleep the whole night, so I browsed the YouTube and came across the video clip of Ashley Tisdale (of High School Musical fame), singing the remake of "Kiss The Girl"...

Actually, I have watched the videoclip before... The first time I heard the song, I was like...Wow...!! What a superb performance!! The slow tempo song suddenly become one of the most happening (and rockish!!) song in the town....I eventually saved the song and since then everytime I listen to the song it never fails to cheer me up and brighten my day :D

Well, I have always loved Disney cartoon movies... some of my favourites including Cinderella, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and the most unforgetable one, The Lion King... Then come the 3D movies, but I have always cherished Monster Inc. only... and maybe The Incredibles...

Sometimes, I miss the 2D cartoon movies... wondering if there is ever a new established one, as the industry is moving towards to 3D nowadays...

Life is still Beautiful because there is Love...

Sometimes, life is cruel...no matter how hard we work for something, things don't always fall into our favour...felt that, overcame that, yet...new ordeal always there...

But at times, I do feel that no matter what happen, I still have love...that other things do not matter anymore, or, that it's worthwhile to move forward no matter how tough the journey would be...

I came across this song, "Laskar Pelangi" by Nidji from a friend's blog, and I really love it...it urges us not to give up although life is sometimes unfair, and to smile and stay happy although life is not as beautiful as in heaven, because we still have the power of love in this world...

I felt calm and relaxed whenever I listen to this song, therefore I hope I can share this song and spread the happiness to all.... good day :)

Update @ 8 January 2013:
I just discovered that this song "Laskar Pelangi" was actually from an Indonesian movie with the same title. "Laskar Pelangi" literally means 'The Rainbow Troops', and that the movie was based on a novel by Andrea Hirata.

The movie is on a group of 10 schoolboys and their two inspirational teachers as they struggle with poverty and develop hopes for the future in Gantong Village on the farming and tin mining island of Belitung. The movie has apparently won many awards, locally and internationally.

You can get more info here - the language is in Malay though:

I shaked hand with Julian Wynter, the CEO of Standard Chartered Malaysia...

Today is the 7th (or 6th?) installment of the prominent leader talk....fstep has invited Mr Julian Wynter, the then Managing Director and CEO of Standard Chartered Malaysia...

During the Q&A session, i posed a question to him asking his comment on the glitch of the standard chartered KL Marathon run and how it affected StanChart since it was the title sponsor for the run...

He said Standard Chartered was just a title sponsor and not the real culprit behind (of which i acknowledged...) He also said that Octagon, the organiser, has sent them explanation and apology letter...

When i was just about to go for break, i saw him again at the lobby of Darul Takaful... i shaked hand with him and thanked him for the talk earlier...

And guess what... he said sorry to me for the unpleasant experience that i had during the marathon and pat my shoulder at the same time... what a very gentle and down-to-earth man!!!

He also personally assured me, that the marathon next year will be fine and that StanChart will ensure that the organiser will not repeat the same mistake...he hope i will participate in the marathon in 2010...of which i think i will... :)

Update @ 23 November 2012: Sorry, the past tense for 'shake' is 'shook', not 'shaked'...and I didn't participate the StandChart marathon 2010 due to personal matter....

octagon apologised for the KL marathon shortcomings...

they admits to the shortcomings...it's in the nst two days ago (report) and also on the official website...

am just wondering how many frustrated runners would forgive and forget and give one more chance?

me, for one, will forgive and forget, but giving chance? hmm....i will always check who the organise is before participating in any marathon in the future....
